Shelter
The mischabel hut does have a shelter room in case of emergency. There is no possibility to cook or heat. Just wool blankets will be available.
There is no running water.
ACCESS
The varied but challenging hut trail is already a special experience and a worthwhile destination for experienced hikers. Exposed areas are secured with pins and wire ropes.

The hut ascent from Saas Fee is marked throughout, with steel cables and a ladder in the upper ridge area and takes about 4 hours.
If you use the cable car to Hannig, the walking time is reduced by approx. 1 hour.

FACTS
In the midst of a high alpine mountain scenery, at the foot of the northeast ridge of the Lenzspitze, surrounded by 4000m peaks, it lies, like an eagle's nest, the Mischabelhütte at 3340m above sea level. It is a worthwhile excursion destination and starting point for some 4000m peaks.
Today the hut visitor has two huts at his disposal, which are about 10 meters away from each other. The upper hut (new hut) with kitchen, sleeping places, dining room and sanitary facilities can be called the main house. The lower hut serves as an additional sleeping camp and in times of non-maintenance as a winter room. The owner and builder of the Mischabelhütte is the Akademische Alpenclub Zürich (AACZ), which offers 130 beds, dinner, breakfast, drinks, marching tea and a small daily menu with mainly regional specialities.

RESERVATION
Online reservations can be made until 18.00 the day before the arrival date. Later reservations are only possible by telephone directly at the hut. Changes and cancellations must be done up to 24 hours before arrival. (For groups of 15 people or more, the cancellation period is 72 hours.)
Credit card must be provided with each booking, this will only be charged in the case of a NO SHOW.
